Richer tune for higher compression
http://www.daytona-sensors.com/engine-tuning-and-recommended-guidelines.html WebbUnder wide open throttle (WOT) conditions, a richer mixture (12.5 to 12.8 AFR) is generally required to reduce cylinder head temperatures and avoid detonation. While the torque …
Richer tune for higher compression

Webb9 juni 2024 · Hi, I have some questions about the relationship between a compression increase, a/f ratio and cylinder temperatures. Let's say a theoretical engine with a 10:1 Compression Ratio is tuned to perfection. You then take the same engine, and increase it's compression 1 point, to 11:1, with no other changes, and run it with the same fuel map. Webb16 aug. 2024 · They were designed for high revving n/a power. Therefore they have high flow heads and intake ports, large duration intake cams, and high compression pistons. You can make those work with boost if you have knock resistant fuel (E85, race fuel) or if you have a big turbo meant for high rpm, or preferably both. Look at a modern Honda …
Webb(1) With high compression ratio, they operate at higher pressures and offer a cleaner and complete burn of fuel leading to better mileages too. However, it's not ALL good. Webb13 juli 2015 · if the compression ratio is more than 8.5:1 tread lightly on the boost on pump gas. Get better gas or get intercooling or lower the cr. Without a intercooler the WOT AFR under boost has to be plenty rich. RICHER than 12.5:1afr. 10.5:1 to 11.5:1 afr is typical. it needs what it needs. start tuning with it rich.
Webb31 jan. 2024 · In a normally aspirated drag racing engine with 5 to 1 AFR, over 20 percent extra fuel is supplied for cooling. In contrast, during our drag racing days we ran an AFR … Webb13 juni 2024 · Keep in mind, however, unless you're going for a specific sound effect, your use of both EQ and compression should be quite subtle—boosting the high-mids heavily or squashing the peaks with a ...
Webb24 apr. 2004 · Most race carburetors sold today have a generic tune-up or jetting unless the carburetor is built for a specific engine package and fuel. Just adding mufflers or performing any header/exhaust ...
Webb15 apr. 2013 · Higher comp improves off boost driving and spool time but those motors really dont have issues on low comp and spooling turbos. I dont see a need to go higher than 10.5:1 for boost. 9-10:1 is fine with ls motors. So many guys running truck take outs at well over 600 whp at 9.5-10.0:1 comp just fine. lasten uutiset 28.10.22lasten uutiset 28.1.22Webb19 okt. 2024 · See all 16 photos.
